The Training and Counseling Center at St. Luke’s is excited to offer a residency program beginning this fall. We are a nonprofit that offers affordable counseling services for the community and we are committed to providing an opportunity for therapists in training to receive affordable quality supervision.

Qualifications, application requirements, and educational fees

The applicant for the residency program must have completed a master’s degree in the field of counseling, marriage and family therapy, or social work. We encourage that every applicant read and ask any questions needed about TACC’s mission and have a strong interest in the mission to provide counseling services to all who seek affordable care. We also ask that applicants who are chosen for the residency program be available to schedule between 10-20 clients per week, and make the necessary accommodations for supervision, didactic, and meetings. Residents will be provided guidance on how to maintain any necessary record keeping, and residents will participate in rotation of telephone duty. TACC does not provide after-hours crisis support.

Application requirements include:

  • Previous practicum/internship/work experience with providing psychotherapy
  • Residents must either be eligible and/or have passed their graduate/post graduate exam for licensure

  •  Non-refundable $60 application fee
  • One personal and two professional references from prior supervisors (all whom are familiar with your clinical work experience )
  •  Must pass a criminal background check
